From a healthy, athletic, active vegetarian, I became a near-invalid as my right side shut down and I needed help to do everything from put my clothes on to crawl across the floor. Some doctors said multiple sclerosis, others said a series of mild strokes. Others said it was too early to tell without more and more tests. I am in the medical profession and I just don't like going to doctors, I know they never have enough time to answer your questions, and if you persist in trying to get information, they often make you feel guilty because you are keeping them from another client. I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids over two years ago. Not wanting to resort to conventional medical treatment initially, I was referred to Beverly Coleman. I've been thinking about spontaneous healing, like you talked about with the Christian Scientists. I know that absolutely happens. I'm not sure it's in my best interest right now. I think the fibroid is a prod, an accelerator, in my recognition of needing to make a leap. I'm not at all sure that I have the discipline to move through that process with the same focus as the fibroid is giving me. Having to make lifestyle changes, and go through the daily healing ritual of castor oil, all the various supplements, etc. feels like a "practice.” I think right now that is just where I should be. I love having a health practitioner with whom I can talk on this level. I contrast it with the gynecologist whose assessment was "the organ is pathological" and wow.....!
